Located at 1 Jones Street in San Francisco, the Hibernia Bank Building has a long and interesting history. Tragically, it has been left to rot over the past 30 years, however, like a phoenix from the flame, the HBB will rise again!

hey there. very intrigued by this building! here's a photo of mine you're free to post. http://www.flickr.com/photos/yzz/4374985778/
Cool thanks!
I used to work for Hibernia Bank at One Jones Street. The dome was actually my office! Good times, very sad when the bank was sold to Security Pacific in 1988. Tiffany stained glass ceilings, marble floors, fire places in the offices. Our office over looked the Pussy Cat theater, and we checked every Wednesday for the name of the new movie. And the best place to eat, Squids, was right around the corner!
Thanks GloBug! If you have any old pictures, please email me; dkddkddkd@gmail.com
Tell me more about your times there.
Scroll down to the bottom of the blog for pictures of the buidling in the old days.
A development firm bought the building last year but I apparently it'll cost millions to get it up to code. So far as I know, not much as been done.
It's a prisoner of the neighborhood.
